Be Stay Hotel & Collective Market is a mixed-use development in Rwanda that combines hospitality and community-driven commercial space within the same site. Integrating a hotel and a collective market in one cohesive master plan was a significant challenge, requiring careful zoning, circulation planning, and privacy control to ensure both functions operate efficiently without conflict.
The hotel component was designed with a strong emphasis on greenery and environmental integration. One of the primary architectural challenges was introducing maximum green elements into the exterior design through landscaped terraces, vertical greenery, shaded walkways, and open courtyards. This approach enhances the guest experience while promoting sustainability and visual softness within the built form.
The collective market was planned as a vibrant community hub, encouraging social interaction, local business growth, and cultural exchange. The layout ensures flexibility for vendors while maintaining smooth pedestrian movement and connection to the hotel.
